HEMS Helicopter Suits (Orange or Red)
One piece suits for Emergency Medical Teams attending patients in rapid response emergency situations through use of a helicopter are flame retardant for protection and safety. These suits are orange (or red) with retro-reflective tapes for improved visibility, have knee pads and ID plates (front and back).
HEMS style non- waterproof Suit (Style R1948): A suit made from flame retardant NOMEX® fabric containing KEVLAR® fibres with a proven history for use in helicopters for HEMS and emergency transfers where there is little risk of being exposed to body fluids or wet weather, also used where comfort of the wearer is of higher priority than protection from body fluids. Available in either colour orange or red in a range of male and female sizes.
Waterproof version of HEMS Suit (Style R1626): This suit has the same accessories as the non waterproof suit, made from flame retardant NOMEX® fabric with a layer of CROSSTECH® S/R fabric (produced by the makers of GORETEX® fabric) to provide superior liquid resistance against blood, body fluids and the NFPA common fire ground chemicals (including gasoline - ASTM ref. Fuel C).
