About us
Lojigma International Limted was established in 1985 by the two directors Dr Suresh R Patel and Mr John Duncan to demonstrate their technical knowledge for using innovative textile structures for the development of performance garments and sewn textile items. Each product is thoroughly tested in use before putting on the market, incorporating the needs of end users as well as making sure the function meets the needs of the application. Our policy is to use ISO 9001 registered suppliers whenever possible.
Dr Suresh R Patel graduated with a doctorate in Flame Retardants from the University of Leeds in UK and has a depth of knowledge in the development of technical textiles for medical use. He is involved with the development and implementation of European Standard EN 13795 for surgical gowns, drapes and clean air suits particularly for reusable products.
John Duncan is a Chemical Engineer graduate from Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh and in addition to his contribution to textile development he also has experience in the oil refining industry and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Policy Statement
Lojigma International Limted recognises the need for continuous improvement in order to provide products and services to achieve maximum user satisfaction. Our continuing success is achieved through our ability to develop and supply products (and services) of the highest possible standard. Customer requirements are satisfied by analysing all details relating to the needs of the user and incorporating these details in the products we produce. This is combined with the highest standards of workmanship and care we take in every task we do.
Quality Control
Quality control is not just a statement! It is supported through positive commitments by all members of our workforce; by using materials of the highest quality; by using procedures which are continuously monitored and improved; and by providing an active link (e.g. barcodes sewn on products) through which we can trace the history of products to the end of their life.
Our commitment to Quality Control is further demonstrated through the operation of a rigorous Quality Policy which is monitored through our registration to: ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Management System. Whenever possible, we use suppliers such as Rotecno AG (manufacturer of ROTECNO® medical fabrics) and W L Gore and Associates (manufacturer of GORE™ medical fabrics) who also comply with ISO 9001.
Products we produce as Medical Devices have been registered and comply with EU Council Directive 93/ 42/EEC of 14 June 1993 and its subsequent revisions to give performance assurance to medical practitioners. Medical Devices, such as gowns, drapes and clean air suits used in the operating room are manufactured to comply with the requirements of Standard EN 13795.
We comply with other Standards such as High Visibility (EN 471) for the qualification of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) according to EU Council Directive 89/686/EEC.
As a permanent link between LOJIGMA and the products we manufacture, a unique barcode is attached to every sewn item – this means we know from our product database the complete manufacturing history (e.g. fabric used, quality control inspection reports, item manufacturing details) – if you want to know more about any item you have purchased from LOJIGMA, just send us the barcode number from that item and you can be assured that we will be able to identify and supply the same item again.
